About ICB

International College Britain (ICB), as part of Talent International Education Group, in collaboration with our associate colleges and universities, offers the most comprehensive language courses and pre-degree courses, from English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Knowledge of Language and life in the UK courses, Undergraduate Foundation Courses, and Postgraduate Foundation Courses. Since 1990s, ICB and its partner company Talent International Co (TIC), have trained and placed several thousand international students to top UK universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College, Bath, York, Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield, Reading, Essex, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, LSE etc. These courses have been specially designed to give the best preparation of our students for their degree studies.

Now, ICB has announced its new campus located in Portobello, Edinburgh. It allows more students studying at ICB from Fall 2011.

The founder, Prof. Yifa CAI, has been doing research and teaching at various institutions in the UK, including Imperial College (University of London), Kingston University, University of Abertay Dundee, Heriot-Watt University, Queen Margaret University since 1990. He was one of the pioneers to start recruiting self-funding students, when Talent International Education Group have been set up, Prof. CAI has established several colleges and a vast recruitment network in China for the partner institutions in Britain.

Our staffs have been carefully selected; they are very experienced in teaching overseas students. Above 90% of our students are from overseas, from some 30 different countries.

Our service teams are also very experienced in dealing with the difficulties overseas students may face after their arrival, from meeting them at the airport, opening bank account, finding accommodations, registering with the police and medical centres, designing individual study programmes, finding universities, applying for scholarships, extending student visas, finding jobs, to counselling of other personal matters.

In addition to the services comparable to a boarding school, our students also enjoy the benefits of a university level environment, which provides excellent facilities, including libraries, free access to the Internet, sports facilities, clubs, etc.
